Week #3
I started research on my project with the help of Professor Manning. She introduced me to time-delay hacking, which will be the basis of my research project. Essentially, sites store password data in the form of hash algorithms, which makes it harder for hackers to decrypt passwords and get people's private information. Learning this peaked my interest, as I got to know some of the surface knowledge that will be required of me as a software engineer. I am now glad I chose computer science as my major, as the real world applications will not only be useful, but the rigor of the degree will greatly prepare me for the real world. I will continue to meet with Professor Manning and update as necessary on the specifics of my project. I am super excited to delve deeper into the research and present you guys an awesome research project by semester's end!
